We hang around Prague and while we encounter people who behave weirdly sometimes, we also seem to see online behaviour that is alarming and distressing, for example, involving Chinese people based in Prague of the Czech Republic.
It seems that there is a new member to a facebook group for Chinese people based in Prague and while he is barely one week into being a member of this facebook group with some friendly aims, he already picked a digital fight with another member of the facebook group who has been a member for five years or so.
He started asking about a garage in Prague with staff speaking the Chinese language. People were discussing services in Prague. We are not sure if this ‘Xiaoyu Zhao’ really is his real name. But then he went ahead with his aggressive, hostile, intimidating online behaviour against another group member, who wished him well concerning the garage and said she hoped he’d find such a place as information about the actual street address remained unclear, and she was also seeking Chinese services.
Whoever this ‘Xiaoyu Zhao’ is, the quantity of his hostile messages is puzzling and psychologists say a lot of things about ‘projection’. He accused another person of making a mockery of Chinese people, of using bitter sarcasm, of being full of anger and pain and so on, when she doesn’t demonstrate any of such things – at least, none of that shows from what she wrote online. However, his bitter sarcasm, use of insults against other people, use of intimidation, and so on, shows in what he actually wrote online. From him looking for a garage, we can’t understand how he produced such vast amounts of time to insult other people, to try to inflict misery and make the other person feel degraded.
That’s just another case of bullying and harassment on facebook. I am aware that the bullying and harassment situation among SOME Chinese people have been really seriously bad for the past few years, that led to one or two big lawsuits. There were issues of defamation and cases of victims getting stalked in real life.
We are wondering if this ‘Xiaoyu Zhao’ has a job at all and wondering if he uses the same old tactics of harassment in employment and what degree of legal trouble that’s bringing to his employer.
What an online troll.
